PREMISE
Summer is slowly winding to a close for those at Camp Cedar Falls, a secluded summer camp located deep in the forest. But as festivities begin to wind down, and many campers head closer to town for their annual "jamboree", a small group of counselors and campers have remained behind - preparing their own "final activity": a low budget indie film they plan to livestream to the public. The subject? The camp's old legend of an axe murderer who once lived, and worked, in the old farm house on the camp grounds. Most say Madman Marz is only a legend, but no one would dare tempt fate and say his name above a whisper - an action said to summon his bloodthirsty spirit. On their final night at camp, however, one cocky move is about to change all of that. Soon after they make the mistake of mocking the infamous murderer before they begin shooting, the group discovers they are facing an all-too-real, axe wielding assailant who seeks to pick them off, one-by-one, as the world unknowingly watches.

THE CAST
COUNSELORS
JESSICA SANDERS: 24. The starry-eyed, jubilant female head counselor. Jess seems shallow at first - but tries to be anything but. Would do just about anything to get famous, even if it puts her in the line of danger. Probably in over her head.
MIKE LARKIN: 26. The confident and sarcastic male head counselor. Aims to run the camp one day, but he and Martin don’t see eye-to-eye. Underneath his glowing confidence, he’s become high strung as a result. Trying desperately to hide it.
MADISON MANROE: 23. A smart and resourceful young woman. Madison has a shy demeanor, but comes with a backbone. Her quick thinking and sharp instincts make her perfectly at home in the woods. Deeply into the occult, and macabre - and Marz is a favorite.
DANICA LARKIN: 18. Mike’s perky and spontaneous little sister. A first year counselor who’s had trouble getting her kids to take her seriously. Trying desperately to find her "in" with the others, even now that summer is practically over.
ABRAHAM WILLIS: 21. A charming, high energy counselor with a perchant for jokes. Grew up in the area his whole life - knows the woods like the back of his hand. Abe is typically the “voice of reason” among the counselors; trying to get along with everyone.
ROCKY BELLHORN: 23. A high-energy smart aleck. Rocky tries hopelessly too hard to be “cool” and comes off more annoying. Never takes things half as seriously as he should. The movie’s own “Madman Marz”, since he’s the only one who volunteered.
HALEY JAMESON: 20. A free spirited, attitude-prone counselor from the area. Haley doesn’t want to be here - and makes no attempts to hide it. Thinks her talents are better used elsewhere, but her parents want her out of her “rock band” and their garage so here she is.

CAMPERS
SPENCER SHEPHERD: 14. A nervous nelly with a social disposition. More interested in cryptids than urban legends - bigfoot being his favorite. Not so interested in Marz, but dragged into doing the film by best friend, Erik. Much to his chagrin.
KIRA FLETCHER: 14. A generally sweet motormouth. Kira is a bit of a know-it-all, but generally tries to tone it down when pointed out. She’s been Casey’s “project” this summer; but seems to think they’re best friends. May be in for a rude awakening.
ERIK MCKOWEN: 15. Cool and charming are his middle names. Knows how to talk his way out of almost anything - especially trouble. It makes him a little arrogant, but not overbearing. Clearly crushing on Mike - a hint Casey just won’t take.
CASEY DONNOVAN: 15. A nosy and somewhat vain troublemaker. Casey is the “it” girl of the campers, everyone bows down or moves aside. Fancies herself a great actress and singer - but really lacking in both departments.
SANDY MITCHELL: 15. Thick skinned and hard nosed. Casey’s right-hand girl who helps assert her “authority” over the other campers. Doesn’t seem to realize she falls under the “minion” category, but everyone else has her pegged.

OTHERS
MARTIN JUGGS: 40s. Hawk-eyed and sharp-tongued. Martin’s family has owned the camp for decades, a legacy he takes very seriously. Probably too hard on his nephew and heir apparent, Mike. But thinks of it as tough love.
MADMAN MARZ: A legendary figure at Camp Cedar Falls. His family owned the farmhouse on the property, until he axed them and a dozen campers to death. Legend says saying his name louder than a whisper summons him. But it’s just a ghost story - right?
