Let's Cure Writer's Block!
Let's play a game! Well, actually, let's create something! We're going to take a character through an interactive story!
:How it will work:
I. I will start us off with a few paragraphs describing a scene.
II. You can reply to this thread with at least a paragraph, continuing the scene, picking off where the previous poster left off!
III. You can come back around to post again anytime, as long as you don't double post!
IV. Have fun!

How It Cures Writer's Block
This activity get's the gears in your brain moving. It get's you to think about things, and it may very well cause an idea to stem from it, that you can start writing about in your own personal writing! The way I see it, it's like a warm up!
Rules of The Thread
- You must have at least two(2) paragraphs.
- Do not double post, however you can come back around after others have posted.
- You may add characters to the story, as long as they are relevant.
- If the thread starts getting very long, you don't have to read EVERY post, however, at least have a general idea of what is going on, and try to stay relevant to the previous post.
- Replies that do not contain your portion of the story will be deleted.
- Keep the story going, start spin-offs if the story reaches a conclusion!
:Let The Story Begin!:
Kevin use to have a lot of friends when he was younger, but as he's growing later into his teenage years, he drifts off into his own world. The only friends he has are the people he talks to on the coding forum that he is a moderator for. He stays in his room, always on the computer programming something; whether it be a video game or a program he created. He had crazy skills with a computer!
He created the operating system for his personal desktop, and his laptop. He had them connected to a server he created, that operates using artificial intelligence that he coded himself! His setup was more advanced than anything currently on the market. Computers were his passion.
Kevin looked down at the black digital watch on his wrist; the time read 11:48 PM. He looked back up at his computer screen. His screen was flooded with several notepad documents open. Each window had several lines of code. His mind was fried. He'd been working on this program for several hours.
His room was dark. The only light in Kevin's room, ever, is the light from the three computer screens. He turns them off for sleep, and when he is at school, but when he is home, he's either asleep, or on his computer; only leaving to use the bathroom or get some munch. The only other light ever on, is the small blue light on the tablet screen next to his computer tower, on the wall next to his desk. This light is always on, and is always blue. The screen is always on, and it is what he uses to monitor the artificial intelligence that he created for his server.
The interesting thing about the server is that you can ask it to do anything. If he were to press the button that he installed next to the blue light, he can speak to it, and it will respond with text on the third monitor, where there is a chat box open to speak with it. Sometimes he found it better to just type to it, but when he's feeling lazy, he will just speak to it. He named the program Alice.
Kevin moved his mouse over to the third monitor and clicked on the chat with the Artificial Intelligence.

Admin: Ugh, I thought I got them all. Okay, I'll finish working on it tomorrow after school. I slept in till 3rd period this morning.
Alice: You logged off this morning at : 4:17 AM
Admin: Yeah I know, this code isn't going to write itself
Alice: !@#$%^&*()(*&^%$#@!
Admin: What?

Kevin looked over at the small tablet screen, reached over and tapped the black screen. The screen lit up white and lines of code displayed. There were no pop up notifications, and the light was still blue. If the light turns red, it means there is a fault in the system.
Great! Another damn thing I have to debug! He thought to himself. I'll just have to do it before I continue KeVPN...
He went to the control panel for the server and turned off Alice, then shut down the server.
I'm tired as hell.. He shut down his computer and got up from his desk and plopped down on his bed. Lazily, he removed his pants and crawled under the blanket. Kevin closed his eyes and after several phases of dosing in and out, he finally fell asleep.
Several hours later, Kevin is still asleep, however, restless. He's likely dreaming about the lines of code he worked on debugging for hours that day. Across his bed where his desk was, was the little tablet screen for his server. The light started to blink blue, like it would when it is booting up. It would do this for at least five minutes before turning on. However, this time, it blinked about ten times, then it stayed on. Only at the last blink, the light turned red.
